Yelapa 2019

Yelapa yogis had just a couple days of longing to be home, slowing down into epic Seattle winter wonderland, but not for long!  We dove deep into sunrise pranayama, long asana practice, and late afternoon restorative/nidra naps. :)

Read some comments about the retreat here…

  • This was an absolutely phenomenal yoga experience. Annie and Wendy are rock star instructors. I appreciate the adjustments and learned so many things I will use in my home practice. I know this week helped my posture, I feel an inch taller!  ~ Jo S.

  • The connection with the local community of Yelapa, trips to local restaurants, community dance performance and hike make this a unique yoga retreat.  ~ Karen H.

  • Slowly finding myself drawn into the transformative awakening of yoga, Wendy and Annie are incredible teachers, not instructors, with a deep passion and a vast reservoir of expertise and knowledge. I close my eyes, listen and learn. Three times a day in the most heavenly setting and it’s simply divine.  ~ Mary H

Thank you for your patience during the class cancelations, to the teachers for making their best efforts to keep classes going, and to Caryn, my assistant and Ray, my husband for keeping the Two Dog home fires popping during the storms, shoveling snow on studio sidewalks, keeping communication pathways open, and updating homepage and studio door with cancellation info.

Lovin' Lake City

Annie Stocker, Two Dog studio owner, has lived in Lake City since 1986 and feels a warm kinship with the ever-emerging neighborhood. Two Dog students bump into each other at local restaurants, the Lake City Farmers Market, the local hardware store, post office, parks and restaurants. More and more people now make Lake City their permanent home in which to grow their families and friendships. Two Dog is proud to be a part of the growth of this healthy, thriving community. Come explore!

Two qualities of life that we sometimes give low priority to are surrounding ourselves with beauty and developing community. These are being practiced at Two Dog Yoga studio. The gorgeous unfolding lotus mural secures the room where yoga, singing, dancing, eating, talking and more are offered with open arms to the Lake City neighborhood.
— Cynthia Lair, author of Feeding the Whole Family

Two Dog Yoga is a compassionate, supportive and nonjudgmental community of teachers and students which has benefitted me in ways I did not expect. I have been able to apply these experiences when I am off the mat to enhance my life as well as help me cope with everything from day-to-day stresses to more difficult times of loss and grief.
