The Yoga of Self Love:
Be your OWN Valentine!
with Kathleen Dowd, C-IAYT
Friday, Feb 14th | 7-9pm
Who needs roses, chocolate, or over-priced fancy dinners? Are these really signs of love or just what we’re told we’re supposed to do? Plus, what’s all that worth if we don’t love OURSELVES?!?
Treat yourself to a special workshop on yoga and self-love, learning simple, luscious, and practical tools for how you can be kinder to yourself and expand what it means to love yourself, through the lens of yoga and beyond.
While it is sometimes difficult to grasp, the axiom that ‘loving ourselves empowers us to better love others’ is true. And while self-love seems like a great idea, it can be difficult to know how to cultivate it within ourselves. Yoga teaches us that we all have an inner space of divinity within us. When we can find the special, the sacred, the divine, within our own selves, and radiate love from that place, our whole world shifts and our sense of self dramatically expands. We can come to understand the nuanced, unique ways we can love ourselves, and then also the dramatic, expansive impact that can have on our lives.
In this two-hour workshop you’ll enjoy a sweet, all-levels asana (movement) practice, intentional breathing and breathwork, be led through a guided meditation to expand your sense of self and spiritual connection, and you’ll learn how to deepen your connection to your emotions and emotional body. You will leave feeling grounded, nourished, and ready to love others even MORE deeply and broadly.
Come solo, with a friend, or a partner as date night. And yes, there WILL be chocolate, because, of course!
