GRATITUDE EMBODIED Yoga in Yelapa

November 29 - December 6, 2025

Join Annie for this verdant and sparkly seasonal time in the precious village of Yelapa, Mexico. Just a 45 minute boat ride south of Puerto Vallarta, Yelapa is nestled around a pristine bay, surrounded by sandy beaches and lush subtropic mountains – a complete departure from the hectic pace of a typical Mexican tourist town.

This week long retreat offers you the opportunity to connect to the earth, to the sea, to nature’s rhythms, to the village community, and to yourself.

Each morning we greet the day with a quiet sunrise practice on the yoga terrace overlooking Yelapa bay: Pranayama, Mantra and Meditation set a tone of reverence and gratitude for the day ahead. After a yummy breakfast, our longer mid-morning practice includes dynamic asana, with room for questions and guidance when modifications to poses are needed. In the later afternoon the practice will include Yoga Nidra, Restorative asana and Mindfulness Meditation.

Living in community in this beautiful environment, eating delicious healthy foods, sharing the deep and intentional practices, and experiencing a close in immersion into this precious village offers you a unique opportunity to rest and reset and to remember the blessing it is to be alive, this day and every day.

And…there will be ample time to nap in a hammock, lounge on the beach, and to wander the charming, car-free streets of the village. Additional adventures and opportunities to explore the area will also be available.

Accommodations at PURA VIDA ECO RESORT are open air bungalows located within a sub tropic garden hillside just above the ocean shore. Each bungalow has 2 queen size beds with a private bathroom. A limited number of single units are also available.

Fresh, locally inspired meals will be communally served in a variety of settings. Two evenings of the week we will venture into the village to explore and enjoy the hospitality of local restaurants and cafes.

Three months of yoga instruction AND the ability to walk the uneven and steep paths and many stairs of a rustic village required.
